New York International Bridal Week is a three-day exhibition at Pier 92 on the Hudson River. It’s a trade show where manufacturers and retailers showcase their designer bridal collections, including cosmetics and beauty products, gems and jewelry, and gifts and handicrafts for the Spring 2016 season. I was the intern assigned to Orabella Haute Couture, an Israeli fashion house. I supported Arlene Mittleman, President of The Bridal Fashion Group. As her intern, my responsibilities involved everything from greeting clients, scheduling appointments, maintaining inventory to assisting her fashion model, Brittany. And we had many, many bridal gown changes. I was exhausted at the end of the day, but it was all worth it!

International Bridal Fashion Week…was amazing. It was terrific working with Orabella’s model, Brittany. She’s our next supermodel!

Fabulous, fanciful and flamboyant Fascinators…just like the muse of a hat milliner, Isabella Blow, the late British fashion editor. I learned of another talented hat-maker from my FIT classmate, Zlata. Her twin sister, Iva, designs fancy fascinators in London. Fascinators are worn at British formal occasions like that of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. I was so captivated when I viewed Iva’s website. You have to check it out at:www.ivaksenevich.com. I have some photos below:
